Kleen Bin

After Pikitup has emptied the refuse bins the bins are generally left scattered around, is filthy and foul smelling. The bins are rarely cleaned and, even if they are, the cleaning methods used waste water and cleaning materials. A bin that is not cleaned properly remains bacteria ridden, which is conducive to the spread of diseases.

Cleaning a 240l refuse bin is not easy for the average size person and one is subject to “Elbow Grease” as you attempt to stick your head into the bin. Furthermore, users are generally not informed of the local bylaws, so they dump contaminated water into the storm water drainage system.

The problem with all of this is that it poses a health risk, has a significant impact on the environment and it does not comply with municipal bylaws. There is also a general lack of standards, particular in the food and health industries as well as the environment.

The Kleen Bin unit cleans the inside of the bin using a jet spray pump. Not only is the bin cleaned on the inside it is also scrubbed on the outside. The chemicals used disinfect, sanitises and deodorises the bin leaving it spotless and with a pleasant smell. The system filters unwanted solids and recycles water.
